Censure & potential academic boycott of London Met – publicise and pledge

mark-david
UCU HEC last Friday voted to censure London Metropolitan University with the potential for moving to a full boycott if the university management do not now show a satisfactory response to the union’s demands. We have posted a little more about this on our blog page. The vote was a little to late in terms of getting a message in last Friday’s Campaigns message, but as the Censure relies on high-profile publicity we expect the message will be getting out very shortly. In the meantime, we would be very grateful if colleagues could do their best to publicise the Censure to their own members and – where possible – non-members, using all the usual resources of email, social media and word-of-mouth.

Our blog posting includes this link to a pledge in which we are inviting academics to commit themselves in advance to a full boycott of London Met, should that prove necessary in the event of an inadequate management response. We invite you to make that commitment and flag up the pledge in any communications to your colleagues.
