Suspended for protesting privatisation!
Support this campaign to get suspensions dropped immediately
5 students have been suspended for a university occupation organised in support of strike action by staff and an ongoing campaign against privatisation. See full story here.
The VC claims these represent “persistent disruption”. But the student campaign to defend their university as a place of learning and in support of staff pay and conditions has been widely supported.
Earlier this year the VC caused outrage by securing an injunction in the courts banning all protests on campus without permission. Now 5 students have been banned from campus and barred from their studies.
