Students and staff at West London College Ealing campus held a lunchtime protest on Friday against the threat to A level provision at the college.
Branch Secretary, Matthew Cookson, describes this as “not just about jobs, it’s about choices for young people being shut down.”
Students are anxious and uncertain about their future. One student described how she is facing the stress of exams and the need to find another college to complete her A levels. “It’s all about money, so much for the British values they promote.” she said.
A lobby of the board of governors is planned and the branch has voted to ballot should compulsory redundancies be threatened.
